Every now and then, you will see a business sign that will attract your attention because of their skillfully arranged lettering and images. Where I live in Virginia near Old Town Alexandria, many of the boutique shops and restaurants have beautiful signs that hang from the brick facades of the older buildings, adding character and personality to the streets and surrounding neighborhoods.
It’s not surprising that many of us would love to bring that same instant character of a vintage sign into our home to create that nostalgic time-worn feeling. Below are images that may provide some ideas on how to bring the beauty and textures of an old vintage sign into your home for a great display (and discussion) piece.
How would you “Say it with a Sign?”
For me, I would ‘say it’ with an antique french sign in my kitchen.
