About Me

Boogie’s Boutique, Delivering design inspiration…

Thank you so much for visiting my blog on WordPress!

ABOUT ME…

My mother’s childhood nickname for me was Boogie; thus the name of my blog and online e-boutique, Boogie’s Boutique!

I invite you to join me daily to read my blog that is devoted to delivering design inspiration. My love for interior design began years ago when I was exploring antique and vintage shops throughout the Washington, DC metro area, seeking hidden treasures and flea market finds to decorate my home; and discovered that the beauties of the past came together with today’s home furnishings to make beautiful art.

Hopefully, my blog captures and reflects my love of exquisite design and interior spaces; and that you will enjoy my musings on all things that are beautifully chic!

  7. Awesome bio!

My childhood nicknames were Stinker, Hot Stuff, and Pumpkin! 🙂

You have a very beautifully designed blog and I cannot wait to read your daily articles.

I used to love exploring the interior design shops in Atlanta, Highpoint, and Dallas. It amazes me how people can come up with so many different designs!

I used to set up huge art shows for Baldwin Art. A lot of fun. I miss it!

I also ran their furniture showroom and ladies boutique.

Antique stores are really amazing to me. I went to an antique auction a while back and the nicest dresser I’ve ever seen sold for $1400. It was German, had 8″ deep relief carving, was in marvelous condition, oak, and built in 1740.

They would not allow me to bid on since I did not register. I was there to auction off three frames we had around the gallery too long!

The buyer made a killing on that one! I guessed it would go for at least $10,000. I think the auction house did a lousy job providing bidders with proper information. Maybe intentionally. Who knows! 🙂

    Have a wonderful week,

    Boyd

    • Thanks so much Boyd for your comment and for following my blog! I appreciate you stopping by. It’s always nice to meet someone who also has a love of antiques. If you’re ever in the Washington DC metro area, you should visit some of the lovely shops in Old Town Alexandria.

      All the best,
      Teresa
